Armed Man with Machete Attempts to Kill Argentine President

An armed man wielding a machete and angle grinder discs has been arrested while attempting to storm the Argentine government building. This was reported on the social media platform X by Security Minister Patricia Bullrich.

"He approached the Pink House (the governmental house in Buenos Aires) with a machete and other sharp objects, but was stopped and subdued by federal police officer Yanina Violante," the minister wrote.

According to reports from TN television, the 29-year-old man attempted to take advantage of an open fence next to the government building just as an official was exiting. During his arrest, police officers heard him shout, "I will kill the president, I am going to commit terrorism." During a search, five angle grinder discs, a fork, and a 20-centimeter machete were discovered in the man's possession.
