VIDEO: This is the first time I’ve heard about this - Pashinyan laughed for a long time at what he said

As part of the state standardization program, the head of the Cadastre Committee, Suren Tovmasyan, addressed the issue of address standardization during today’s Government session. “When we call an ambulance, we sometimes have to go down to the lower street to meet them and show where that address is located. There are such issues that the adoption of standards will allow state bodies to create integrated databases of addresses in a unified format later on,” he said.

Responding to Tovmasyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said, “You opened such a topic... When you were speaking, I thought that it was the first time I learned why we go out to meet the ambulance. I always thought it was a matter of politeness. It turns out the reason is that we don’t have an address standard, which makes it hard to explain where the address is. I honestly admit, no matter how embarrassing it sounds, this is the first time I’ve heard about such a thing. I always thought it was a special expression of respect for the doctor's profession that we go out and stand in the street to ceremoniously greet the ambulance.”
