Video: Azerbaijanis Mock Elderly Man Remaining in Artsakh, Marukyan
This is what we have called the face of the Azerbaijani regime, and based on this, we have continuously argued that it is incapable of ensuring the rights and security guarantees of the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by Edmon Marukyan, former ambassador with special missions and leader of the For the Application of Justice Party, on his X page.
He shared a video showing how Azerbaijanis mock an elderly man remaining in Artsakh.
“After Azerbaijan carried out ethnic cleansing, out of the 150,000 Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, only about 10 remain, who are now facing persecution. This is why we have continued to say that this is a criminal regime and we still wonder how the international community can believe Azerbaijan when they claim, 'They are our citizens and have all the rights and security to live peacefully according to the Azerbaijani Constitution,'” he wrote.
Marukyan posed a question to European Council President Charles Michel, asking what he thinks about this situation.
American journalist Lindsay Snell published the video with the caption: “Azerbaijanis mock an elderly Armenian man walking in the streets of Stepanakert (one of about a dozen Armenians left there): - Drive him away, drive him away… He ran away, he was scared.” They laugh at him before approaching and hitting him,” she wrote.
