Azerbaijan plans to involve Russian peacekeepers in mine clearance operations in occupied Artsakh. This was announced by the chairman of the Mine Clearance Agency, Vugar Suleymanov. The information was reported by TASS.
“It is planned to involve Russian peacekeepers in the mine clearance process in the areas of ‘liberated Azerbaijan from occupation.’ Currently, the sappers and their equipment are in the certification phase. This process started on April 1 and is expected to be completed by April 6. After the completion of the certification process, the group of Russian peacekeepers’ sappers will begin mine clearance work in the Khojali region,” said Vugar Suleymanov.
