VIDEO: New clashes in Van during mass protests
Mass protests in Van have continued for two days, sparked by the recent local elections, where Abdulah Zeydan, a candidate from the pro-Kurdish Dem party, emerged victorious (this decision was later annulled). Despite a ban on mass gatherings in the province until April 17, people are still taking to the streets.
Earlier reports indicated that protesters were throwing stones at the police, who in turn responded with water cannons and tear gas.
