VIDEO: When Are Fines Increased and Reduced? Ministry of Internal Affairs Notification
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced legislative reforms that have led to changes in the application of penalty points for drivers violating parking or stopping rules.
The penalty has been reduced from 0.5 penalty points to 0.25 penalty points for such violations. Meanwhile, the administrative responsibility for exceeding the allowable transparency level of vehicle windows has been tightened. In the event of a repeat violation within a year or upon any subsequent infraction, a fine of 29,000 drams will be imposed along with 2 penalty points.
These changes will take effect starting April 5, affecting violations committed after that date. Ensuring the safety of all road users remains a priority for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the police.
