New Penalties for Car Window Tinting Violations to Take Effect from April 5

Starting April 5, there will be a new penalty structure for violations regarding the permissible level of light transmission in car windows. This was announced during a press conference at the Ministry of Internal Affairs concerning amendments to the Administrative Offenses Code, by the deputy head of the patrol service of the police, Colonel Arman Chilingaryan.

“We urge drivers who have not yet cleaned their car windows or adjusted them within the permissible limits for light transmission to do so by April 5, to avoid any issues later on,” he stated.

The deputy head of the patrol service clarified that a fine of 29,000 drams and two penalty points will be imposed for the second and every subsequent violation of this offense within a year.
