Difficult Times Ahead: Charles Michel

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, has expressed that difficult times await the European Union (EU). He made this statement to reporters in Vilnius, where leaders from Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the Czech Republic also arrived to discuss the EU's political priorities.

“We are facing very significant difficulties and challenges. It is essential to do everything possible to strengthen the EU and ensure security,” stated the President of the European Council.

He also mentioned the importance of continuing to support Ukraine. “We must mobilize all financial and military resources,” Michel said. According to him, one of the EU's priorities is to strengthen the economy.

“The single market is very important for us; it must be reinforced, and more investments need to be made,” he noted, adding that maintaining unity among EU member states is equally crucial.
