Trump Posts Record Bail Amount

Former US President Donald Trump has posted $175 million to appeal a fraud case ruling. This was reported by ABC News on Monday, citing court documents.

It is noted that Trump secured the bail through Knight Specialty Insurance Company. On February 16, the court found Trump guilty of fraud in the evaluation of the assets of the Trump Organization and ordered him to pay nearly $355 million, bringing the total amount to $454 million when including interest.

Trump has appealed this decision. The court has set April 15 as the trial date after the former president agreed to post bail to appeal the ruling.
