The surgery for the removal of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's hernia has been successful, reports the Israeli Prime Minister's Office. "The surgery has been successful. It was noted that Netanyahu is "in good condition and starting to recover." Earlier, the Prime Minister's Office announced that Netanyahu would undergo surgery on Sunday, stating that the position of Prime Minister would be temporarily held by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Yariv Levin.
According to the office, a hernia was discovered in Netanyahu during a routine examination on March 30. Before the surgery, Netanyahu expressed his intention to return to work "very soon."
