Those Drones Undoubtedly Belong to the US and Violate Afghanistan's Airspace, Says Mujahid

The spokesperson for the Taliban (the "Taliban" movement is under UN sanctions for terrorist activities), Zabihullah Mujahid, claims that American drones have allegedly violated Afghanistan's airspace. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Tolo News, earlier reports indicated that unmanned aerial vehicles had been spotted over Kandahar and Nimroz provinces in Afghanistan in recent days.

"Those drones undoubtedly belong to the US; they fly and penetrate Afghanistan's airspace from some neighboring countries. Everyone should realize their responsibilities in this matter and cease the aggression," Mujahid stated in an interview with Tolo News.

The Taliban representative emphasized that Afghanistan's neighboring countries should not allow American drones to use their airspace to violate Afghanistan's airspace.

In early August 2021, the Taliban intensified their assault on Afghan government forces, entering Kabul on August 15 and declaring the end of the war the following day. During the last two weeks of August, massive evacuations were taking place from Kabul Airport, which was under the control of American military personnel, involving citizens of Western countries and Afghans who had cooperated with them. On the night of August 31, American soldiers left Kabul Airport, effectively ending nearly 20 years of US military presence in Afghanistan.
