Russia's Foreign Ministry Demands Ukraine Arrest SBU Head Maluyk

Russia's Foreign Ministry has announced that investigative actions conducted by the Russian side indicate a link between terrorist acts in Ukraine and the Russian Federation, including the terrorist attack at "Crocus City Hall." In this context, the ministry has presented demands to the Ukrainian authorities to arrest the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Vasyl Maluyk, and other involved individuals.

"The Russian Foreign Ministry has conveyed the demands for the immediate arrest and extradition of all individuals involved in these terrorist activities within the frameworks of the 'International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings' (ICBT) and the 'International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism' (ICFT)," the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement reads.

According to the statement, Vasyl Maluyk has "cynically admitted" that Ukraine organized the bombing of the Crimean bridge in October 2022 and revealed details of preparations for other terrorist actions on Russian territory. The Foreign Ministry demands that Ukraine "cease any support for terrorist activities, hand over the perpetrators, and compensate the victims for the damages caused."

The terrorist attack at "Crocus City Hall" occurred on March 22, when a group of men in camouflage stormed the concert hall, opened fire, and set the building on fire. The Russian Investigative Committee, citing testimonies from the arrested individuals, reported that the perpetrators of the terrorist act were to be awarded in Kyiv after the attack. Ukrainian authorities deny any connection to the incident.
