Issues Related to Border Delimitation Still Under Discussion, Says Deputy Prime Minister's Office
The office of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan has not clarified on what documentation the border delimitation commissions are currently discussing the transfer of villages requested by Azerbaijan in the Tavush region.
In response to a written inquiry from Azatutyun, the deputy prime minister's office conveyed that issues related to delimitation and demarcation are still in the discussion phase.
"Official press releases are published regarding the outcomes of meetings between the border delimitation commissions of the two countries, and outside the framework of the established bilateral working procedures, the parties do not provide comments," the response stated.
Azatutyun specifically inquired whether the transfer of these territories is under discussion based on specific maps, and if so, which year’s maps are being referred to, as well as whether there are specific deadlines for the transfer.
The office of Mher Grigoryan reported that the date for the next meeting of the commissions has not yet been determined.
