Netanyahu Announces Approval of Operational Plans for Assault in Rafah

The Israeli government has approved an operational plan for a ground operation in Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the statement, adding that the military is preparing to evacuate civilians from the area.

“We have approved the operational plans of the Israel Defense Forces for the assault in Rafah; it will take time, but it will happen. We will go there and eliminate Hamas battalions... There is no victory without the elimination of Hamas battalions,” the Prime Minister stated during a press conference. He also mentioned that the military is preparing plans to evacuate civilians from the areas in southern Gaza.
