Kyiv May Lose Odesa: Musk
If the Russo-Ukrainian conflict continues for a considerable length of time, Kyiv may lose Odesa. This statement was made by American businessman Elon Musk on the social media platform X.
"The longer the conflict lasts, the more territory Russia will acquire," Musk emphasized.
The businessman noted that Ukraine unwisely lost soldiers by attacking a larger army that had deep defenses, minefields, and powerful artillery.
The main issue remains the possibility of Kyiv losing access to the Black Sea, Musk pointed out.
He advised reaching a settlement through negotiations before any further loss of territory occurs.
On March 30, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the new reality formed after four new subjects joined Russia should not be ignored. This was his response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's comments allowing for the possibility of negotiations.
On March 29, Zelenskyy, in an interview with CBS, softened his position regarding negotiations with Russia for the first time. He suggested that dialogue might be possible before a return to Ukraine's borders as they were in 1991.
