Mr. Lavrov is Mistaken: Andranik Kocharyan

“Mr. Lavrov is mistaken.” This was stated by Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the National Assembly from the Civil Contract faction, during an interview on the First News channel, in response to the remarks made by the Russian Foreign Minister, who claimed that the political policies of the Armenian authorities do not align with the interests of the Armenian people.

“The policies of the Armenian authorities meet the interests of the Armenian people; otherwise, the Armenian authorities would not be in power at all,” added the Civil Contract MP.

Regarding the statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry, which stated that the 102nd military base is the only real guarantee of Armenia's sovereignty, Kocharyan emphasized that the real guarantee is the Armenian people. “The base complements certain segments of our security system, and that is very important,” he noted.
