Geopolitical Reality Has Radically Changed Since Its Inception: Peskov

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has emphasized that the geopolitical reality has fundamentally changed since the start of the special military operation, noting that the borders of Russia and Ukraine have shifted.

In an interview with RIA Novosti, Peskov commented on President Zelensky's statement, in which he said that peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine could begin without returning Ukraine to its 1991 borders.

"The geopolitical reality has radically changed since its inception; the borders of both Ukraine and the Russian Federation have changed," highlighted the Kremlin representative. Peskov also mentioned that four new subjects have joined the Russian Federation. He added that this is a new reality that everyone must take into account.

Earlier, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on Zelensky's statement, indicated that he is getting nervous about the potential elections in Ukraine.
