Why Gagik Beglaryan Threatened the Construction Company Director
On March 28, a 42-year-old resident of Yerevan, Tigran G., appealed to the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, stating that he is conducting construction of 4 and 5-story apartment buildings at 1/43 Azatutyan Avenue. The former mayor of Yerevan, Gagik Beglaryan, resides across the street from the construction site.
Tigran G. reported that on March 25, G. Beglaryan and two others invited him to the premises of the Beglaryan residence, where a lengthy conversation occurred. During the discussion, Gagik Beglaryan expressed concern that the view from the fourth-floor apartment being constructed would overlook his property, thereby providing a clear line of sight to the comings and goings of his home. Following this, Beglaryan and his associates allegedly hurled insults and issued threats to Tigran G. and another co-owner of the company, who reportedly lives in the United States.
Documents have been prepared at the Criminal Police and transferred to the Investigative Committee for consideration regarding the initiation of a criminal case.
According to website sources, Tigran G. stated he works as the director of the construction company.
