Poland Urges Preparation for Struggle
Poland's President Andrzej Duda has signed a law halting the country's participation in the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe, which was signed in Paris on November 19, 1990. This was reported by the Polish President's press service.
According to BBC, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated, "The EU must generally prepare psychologically to fight for its security." He emphasized that regardless of who wins the U.S. presidential election—Donald Trump or Joe Biden—Europe will become a more beneficial partner for Washington if it relies on its own forces in defense matters.
Tusk clarified that Poland spends 4% of its economy on defense, whereas other European countries should allocate 2% of their GDP towards security.
