Absence of Response from European Council Leaders to 'Krocus' Terrorist Attack is Shameful, Says Zakharova

The absence of a response from the leadership of the European Council to the terrorist attack that occurred at the Krocus City Hall is yet another shameful chapter in the history of the organization, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

This was reported by RIA Novosti. According to her, this marks another disgraceful page in the history of the European Council, which unsuccessfully tries to claim the role of the main protector of human rights in Europe.

Zakharova emphasized that the lack of a principled response to the barbaric attack on peaceful civilians raises questions about the organization’s leadership capabilities in ensuring international stability and combating terrorism, while also casting doubt on the impartiality of the European Council’s legal and expert tools.

Earlier, she noted that Western authorities had attempted to “play with words” in their statements regarding the terrorist attack that took place in Russia.
