Roads Blocked and Impassable in Armenia; Lars Open

The Rescue Service reports that there are blocked and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.

In particular, the roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn province to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed, as well as the Berd-Jambarak road.

The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for trucks with trailers but open for other types of vehicles.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
