Promise to the ‘Civil Contract’ MP Remains Unfulfilled; MP Upset with CC
The newspaper ‘Zhoghovurd’ reports that Gurgen Arsenyan, a member of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction in the National Assembly, is upset with the party. The issue arises from the fact that during the parliamentary elections in 2021, he was told that his mandate would be temporary and that he would be appointed ambassador after some time.
For a considerable period, Arsenyan's agrément was sent to the Russian Federation, but it has not been approved, and the businessman's plans to become an ambassador have failed.
According to information from ‘Zhoghovurd’, he is currently outside the country and has left Armenia for a significant time. Yesterday, ‘Hraparak’ reported that Gurgen Arsenyan has left the CC faction.
'Zhoghovurd' contacted the MP, who stated he is not in the country and considered the news regarding his departure from the party to be disinformation. However, ‘Zhoghovurd’ has learned from its sources that Arsenyan will, in fact, leave the CC, and this departure has deep roots, which will be addressed in the near future.
