Zahharova: France's Presence in the South Caucasus is Solely for Intelligence Gathering
Mariam Z.
France's presence in the South Caucasus amounts to monitoring the states in the region to prevent the implementation of peace agreements, stated Maria Zakharova, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“For Paris, the future of the South Caucasus is a tool, a means of bargaining, a way to maintain its reputation against the backdrop of hybrid warfare with Russia and failures in Africa. France’s presence in the South Caucasus is purely for gathering intelligence, spying on the states of the region to prevent the realization of peace agreements, including in economic terms. Against the backdrop of the collapse of the European economy, prosperity is possible here. How to avoid causing harm?” said Zakharova.
