Xi Jinping Says Humanity's Future Depends on Cooperation

The nature of the relations between China and the United States affects not only the prosperity of the peoples of both countries but also the future of mankind. This was stated by Chinese President Xi Jinping during a meeting in Beijing with representatives of American business circles, as reported by TASS.

“The prosperity of the peoples of both countries, as well as the future and fate of humanity, depends on whether China and the United States cooperate with or oppose each other,” his words were quoted by China Central Television.

Xi Jinping emphasized that “as long as both sides view each other as partners, respect each other's interests, coexist peacefully, and cooperate for mutually beneficial outcomes, bilateral relations will improve.” The President of the People's Republic of China also expressed hope that the intensity of exchanges among representatives from all sectors of society between the two countries would increase.
