Photos: Collision between Hyundai Elantra and VAZ 2121, 1 dead, 5 injured

Today, on March 27, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Syunik region. At around 10:00 AM, a collision took place between a Hyundai Elantra and a VAZ 2121 on the Sisian-Sarnakunk segment of the Yerevan-Meghri highway. This information was reported by Shamshyan.com.

According to the website, as a result of the accident, one person died at the scene, and five individuals with varying degrees of bodily injuries were taken to the Sisian Medical Center. Rescue teams disarmed and defused the VAZ 2121 vehicle.

The impact caused the engine of the Hyundai Elantra to detach and be thrown several meters away, while the VAZ veered off the road and ended up in a field.

A criminal investigation has been initiated in the Sisian investigative department concerning the incident, and the identities of the drivers, the deceased, and the injured are being clarified.
