No Dangerous Indicators Recorded for Blooming Orchards Amidst Sudden Temperature Drop

As forecasted, the temperature in the Ararat Plain and its foothills sharply decreased overnight, but no dangerous indicators were recorded for blooming orchards, according to the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

"The minimum air temperature in Ararat was recorded at +0.5°C between 06:00-07:00, in Artashat at +0.8°C, in Mrjavank at -0.7°C, in Armavir at 0°C, in Ashtarak at -0.8°C, in Areni at -0.6°C, and in Urcadzor at +0.3°C. The low thermal background will also persist during the upcoming night; however, on March 29-30, the air temperature will rise at night by 6-8 degrees and during the day by 5-6 degrees across the entire republic.

On the night of March 27-28, from 06:00 to 07:00, a temperature of 0...-1 degree cold is expected in certain areas of the Ararat Plain. Professional analyses have shown that the projected short duration and low values of the expected negative temperatures are unlikely to significantly affect blooming orchards," the center's statement said.
