"Krokus" Terror Incident Kept Putin Awake All Night, Says Peskov
Russian President Vladimir Putin spent a sleepless night following the terrorist incident at the "Krokus" venue, as reported by his press secretary Dmitry Peskov. He made these statements during an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Before this, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko had spoken on the matter, denying claims that the Russian president had remained silent for an extended period after the tragedy.
According to Peskov, the heads of relevant departments promptly reported to the president regardless of the time. "All of this happened before morning," Peskov noted.
He added that once all victims had been admitted to hospitals and the first surgeries completed, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova informed Putin about the situation in the morning. "In such moments, no one has time to sleep, especially the head of state," Peskov emphasized.
