A State Company Will Be Created in Russia to Monitor the Registration of Labor Migrants
The Russian Ministry of Labor has developed a draft presidential decree under which the "Work in Russia" service will act as the state operator for the organized reception of labor migrants. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
According to the announcement, "Work in Russia" will enter into agreements with employers engaged in the organized recruitment of migrants, will maintain a registry of employers, and will carry out targeted selection of employees based on the needs of Russian employers.
Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Dmitry Platigini stated that the aim is for organized recruitment to become the dominant model for local companies that involve foreign workers. The mechanism will allow for the selection of employees considering their qualifications.
The "Work in Russia" service will sign a contract with the foreign worker, maintain a registry of such workers, and will conduct ongoing monitoring of the employee's employment directly with the employer to whom the foreign citizen has been transferred in accordance with their needs.
Additionally, the service will inform the relevant authorities of any violations regarding the migrant's involvement with the employer, as well as any violations of the employee's labor rights by the employer.
