The United States has openly declared that it does not comply with the UN Charter, arguing that the UN Security Council resolution adopted on Monday concerning Gaza is not legally binding. This was stated by Vasily Nebenzya, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, during a Security Council meeting. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the duration of the month of Ramadan.
