Borrell States Why the EU Supports Ukraine

The European Union supports Ukraine not out of love for the Ukrainian people, but because it serves its own interests. This was stated by the head of European Union diplomacy, Josep Borrell, in an interview with CNN.

According to him, the EU cannot allow Russia to win this war, as the result would seriously damage Europe and the USA. Borrell emphasized, 'This is not just about generosity. It is not about supporting Ukraine because we love the Ukrainian people. This is in our own interest. And it also serves the interests of the USA as a global player.'

At the same time, Borrell stated that the EU is doing everything possible to support Ukraine more rapidly.
