France has raised its terrorism threat level to the highest possible level following the recent attack at the Crocus City Hall and information regarding threats of terrorism within the country. This was reported by the Figaro newspaper, referencing a statement by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal after a meeting of the Defense Council, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the France-Presse agency reported that President Emmanuel Macron convened a meeting of the Defense Council on Sunday evening to discuss the terrorist attack in Moscow and its implications.
According to the newspaper, "the government has raised the terrorism threat level to 'extreme threat' following the Moscow attack and threats against France."
