Israel Will Not Cease Fire in Gaza Until All Hostages Are Released - Foreign Minister

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has commented on the resolution adopted by the UN Security Council that calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during the month of Ramadan. According to РИА Новости, he stated that Israel will not halt its fire.

"We will eliminate Hamas and continue fighting until the last of the abducted returns home," Katz emphasized.

Earlier, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution prepared by a dozen of its non-permanent members. The resolution called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during the month of Ramadan.

The Hamas movement has expressed its willingness to exchange hostages held in the Gaza Strip for Palestinian prisoners against the backdrop of the UN Security Council's adoption of the ceasefire resolution in the enclave.
