Meeting Held Between Representatives of Armenia and the United Kingdom's Defense Ministries
Within the framework of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the United Kingdom in defense, discussions related to the fight against corruption took place in London on March 28-29. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The Armenian delegation was led by Hamlet Batikyan, the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. During the event, a meeting was held with representatives of the UK Ministry of Defense, headed by Paul Wyeth, the Director of Security Policy, and Guy Lester, the Director of Defense Procurement.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Varoujan Nersesyan, also participated in the meeting. The discussions focused on issues related to the cooperation between Armenia and the UK in the fight against corruption.
Hamlet Batikyan presented the current programs of the Armenian Ministry of Defense aimed at combating corruption. The British side shared its existing experience and methodology in this field and expressed its readiness to provide the necessary support to the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
During the discussions, a number of agreements were reached regarding the implementation of joint programs and the provision of expert and methodological support.
