Snowfall in Tashir, Stepanavan Cities and Ashotsk Region

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads throughout Armenia. The roads from the high mountain weather station "Amberd" in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and the Karch Lake are closed.

The section of the M-2 highway leading to the city of Jermuk is completely blocked due to a rockfall. The Vardenyats Pass is closed to all types of vehicles. Snow is falling in Tashir, Stepanavan, and the Ashotsk region.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
