Enhanced Control Over Taxis at Zvartnots Airport

Specialists in transport safety from the State Urban Development, Technical, and Fire Safety Inspectorate, together with patrol units of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, have conducted enhanced control over taxi passenger transporters operating in the area of Zvartnots Airport.

As part of ongoing monitoring from March 15 to 22, 2024, specialists from the Transport Safety Division of the Inspectorate examined 24 taxi vehicles involved in passenger transport. As a result, 20 vehicles were identified as operating without the necessary licenses for passenger transportation.

Administrative violation reports have been compiled against the drivers of the vehicles that committed violations. The Inspectorate once again warns individual taxi drivers and private companies providing taxi passenger transportation to comply with the established licensing requirements.
