VIDEO: Nikol Pashinyan Meets with Charles Michel

Within the framework of the first summit on nuclear energy, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Charles Michel, President of the European Council. The interlocutors discussed issues related to cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.

They exchanged thoughts on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, emphasizing the importance of implementing the agreements reached during the trilateral meetings held in Brussels on May 14 and July 15, 2023, involving the EU Council President, the Prime Minister of Armenia, and the President of Azerbaijan.

According to the agreements, the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan will mutually recognize each other's territorial integrity based on the Declaration of Alma-Ata of 1991, border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place based on the Alma-Ata Declaration, and the opening of regional infrastructures will occur under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of Armenia and Azerbaijan, based on the principles of reciprocity and equality.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Armenian government's commitment to the aforementioned agreements and presented the "Peace Crossroads" initiative.
