A Child's Liver Deteriorates Due to Paracetamol Misuse in Buryatia

A two-year-old child in Buryatia requires a liver transplant after their liver deteriorated due to paracetamol poisoning. This was reported by the Zakamensky Central District Hospital.

According to available information, the child is in serious condition and was immediately hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Reports indicate that the child suffering from an acute respiratory viral infection was given 200 mg/kg, with a maximum dose of 140 mg for a weight of 1 kg over the course of two days.
