The renowned "AMADEE-24" simulation mission titled "From Armenia to Mars" has kicked off in Armenia, sponsored by GTB Holdings. For one month, analog astronauts will prepare for missions to Mars. Around 200 researchers from 25 countries have arrived in Armenia to participate in the forum. Among the attendees is Bobby Kang, co-founder of GTB Holdings.

A small team of highly trained analog astronauts includes aerospace engineer Simone Paternò from Italy, AI expert Carmen Keller from Germany, astrophysicist Iñigo Muñoz Elorza from Spain, and astrophysicist Thomas Vijen from the Netherlands. The scientists are led by healthcare expert Anika Mehles and physicist Robert Wild.

The team will conduct various scientific experiments using simulation scaffolds, laying the groundwork for future missions to Mars involving both humans and robots. The test site has been selected in the Ararat region due to its geological and topographical similarity to the Martian environment. Two working groups from Armenia will participate in the research.
