Pashinyan Details Which Areas Armenia Is Ready to Start Delimitation

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, announced during a question-and-answer session in the National Assembly that the government is ready to begin delimitation in the following areas: "On the Armenian side - Baghanis, on the Azerbaijani side - Baghanis-Ayrum. These are not the same villages. On the Armenian side - Voskepar, on the Azerbaijani side - Ashağı-Askipara. On the Armenian side - Kirants, on the Azerbaijani side - Kherimli village. On the Armenian side - Berkaberd, and the opposite border section near Azerbaijan's Kyzyl-Hajili village. The last one, for example, has been under Azerbaijani control both today and 20 years ago," he stated.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the area from which delimitation should begin is not part of a village, but rather the border opposite the village: "We are ready for the delimitation of the borders opposite these villages."

"Baghanis village is included on this map, while Baghanis-Ayrum village has always been excluded. Voskepar is included in this map, whereas Ashağı-Askipara has always been excluded. Kirants is included in this map, but Kherimli village is excluded. Berkaberd is included in this map, while Kyzyl-Hajili has always been excluded," he added, noting that these areas have belonged to Azerbaijan for 3, 15, 20, or even 30-40 years. "All of these villages are not enclave villages."
