I Ask: Why Is There No Shop or Restaurant on the Interstate Road from Kiranq to Baghanis? - Pashinyan

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, expressed his surprise that there are no shops, restaurants, cafes, or guesthouses along the interstate road from Kiranq to Baghanis in the Tavush region. He voiced his astonishment during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly while responding to a question from ruling party MP Vahe Ghalumyan regarding delimitation and demarcation issues in Tavush.

“The meetings were very important, and I believe the concerns of the residents of Voskepar, Kiranq, and neighboring villages are legitimate. However, what I am saying is different; we need to solve that problem. I have also traveled that road many times from Kiranq to Voskepar and Baghanis. There are things that you pass 100 times and do not notice, but on the 101st time, you do see them. That was the case during my last visit. The interstate road from Kiranq to Baghanis exists, but there are no shops, restaurants, cafes, or guesthouses,” stated Pashinyan.

According to him, he has paid attention to this issue because the opposition accuses him of intending to hand over those areas to Azerbaijan. In reality, Pashinyan believes that the situation there is not so favorable, and the clear evidence of that is the absence of restaurants and cafes.
