Regulation of Mobile Trade in Armenia to Expand to Regions
Regulation of mobile trade in Armenia will also extend to the regions. This was presented by Vahe Terteryan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, during a session of the National Assembly, along with a package of proposed amendments to the "Trade and Services" law.
Terteryan reminded that mobile trade had already been regulated in Yerevan under a previously adopted law. This legislative initiative aims to extend those regulations to other communities in Armenia.
“The amendments will extend all existing regulations to our other communities as well. There may be an exception to the mandatory requirement that was in place in Yerevan for mobile trade permits to be issued through a specific website,” said Terteryan, adding that they will do everything possible for these permits and the functions related to mobile trade to be carried out through an electronic platform.
Thus, the draft sets forth, for example, the requirements, conditions, deadlines, permitted locations for mobile trade, the procedure and conditions for providing (allocating) these permits, operational hours, as well as the types of goods sold or services provided that are prohibited.
