Dilijan Turns Closed to Trucks: Current Situation on Roads in Armenia
The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult passages on the roads in Armenia.
The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn province to the Amberd Fortress and the Kari Lake are blocked.
The Dilijan serpentine is closed to trucks. The section of the road from the Jermuk intersection to "Zanger" is closed for trucks with trailers.
The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to traverse due to snow, fog, and low visibility, and the Spitak-Dilijan road is impassable for trucks with trailers (in cases where chains are used).
Snow is falling in the provinces of Lori and Gegharkunik (except for the city of Vardenis), in the sections of Saravan-Zanger, and called "Meghru Sar," as well as in the regions of Hrazdan, Ashotsk, Amasia, Aragats, Aparan, Talin, and in the cities of Dilijan, Jermuk, Kajaran, and Sisian.
There is fog in the city of Goris and the area referred to as "Zanger."
