Car Accident on Martuni-Gavar Road Results in Injuries

On March 19, at 14:38, the regional crisis management center of the Gegharkunik rescue service received a call regarding a road traffic accident (RTA) near the village of Yeranos, with reported injuries.

A firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that vehicles of brands 'Opel' (driver A. A., born in 1992) and 'VAZ' (driver A. N., born in 1996) collided on the 15th km of the Martuni-Gavar highway, resulting in injuries.

Before the rescuers arrived, four injured individuals were hospitalized at a medical center. Rescuers disconnected the power to the vehicles, closed the gas cylinder valves, and provided assistance to the two injured from the 'Opel' vehicle, bringing them closer to ambulances and patrol service vehicles. The injured were taken to a medical center where the health conditions of the drivers and passengers (A. A., born in 1968, M. A., born in 1969, A. N., born in 1995, and D. H., born in 1997) were assessed as severely stable.
