VIDEO: A Group of Tourists Trapped Under an Avalanche in Russia

A group of tourists in Kamchatka has become trapped under an avalanche. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM).

The incident occurred in the Elizovsky district of Kamchatka. According to the agency, a tourist group consisting of 11 people was on a skiing expedition in the Krasnoarmeyskiy mountain pass area. The group was moving along the mountain range when a strong gust of wind triggered an avalanche that fell upon them.

EMERCOM reported that everyone managed to get out except for two members of the group. Later, the main department of the EMERCOM in Russia announced that rescuers, along with canine teams, had arrived at the site of the avalanche to search for the missing individuals.
