Brothers Assault Taxi Driver, Damage Vehicle, Stab Female Passenger
On the night of March 16 at 2:15 AM, the police department of Kanaker-Zeytun received a report from the "Yerevan" medical center about a 31-year-old woman being treated for a stabbing wound to the left side of her chest. This was reported by the Police of Armenia.
Through investigative actions, officers determined that at approximately 1:30 AM, two brothers, aged 30 and 25, were in an argument with a 26-year-old driver of an Opel taxi near a building on David Anhaght Street over domestic issues. They physically assaulted him, damaged the vehicle, and then the older brother stabbed the 31-year-old female passenger in the chest with a sharp object, causing bodily injury.
Thanks to the efforts of the department’s criminal investigators and explanatory work, the brothers reported to the police at 3:50 AM the same day and confessed to the crime. The knife used in the crime was found in the entrance of a building on the 6th floor of David Anhaght Street. The young men were arrested on reasonable suspicion of causing bodily harm and were presented with the compiled documents to the preliminary investigation body. The circumstances are under investigation.
