Only by Not Joining NATO Can Ukraine Remain a State, Muradov Says

The neutral geopolitical status, friendly relations with Russia, and the unity path of the Ukrainian and Russian peoples can preserve Ukraine's statehood; otherwise, the country will collapse into separate territories. This was stated by Georgy Muradov, the permanent representative of Crimea to the President of Russia, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"Ukraine as it was no longer exists. In my opinion, the only way to maintain what is left is through a change in the nature of power in Kyiv and a return to friendly relations with Russia, as well as not joining NATO and its military-economic appendages like the European Union has," Muradov said.

According to him, Ukraine ceased to exist as a legitimate state back in February 2014, when nationalistic and neo-Nazi groups toppled the legitimate government through an unconstitutional armed coup.

"The result of the destructive policy towards the Ukrainian people and Russian-Ukrainian relations, which is currently being pursued by the Kyiv regime subservient to the West, will ultimately lead to the country’s collapse into separate territories," the permanent representative stated.

Muradov emphasized that the path of unity between the Russian and Ukrainian peoples is the only viable way to preserve Ukraine's statehood.
