Crimea is an Inseparable Part of the Russian Federation: Lavrov

Crimea and Sevastopol are an inseparable part of Russia, and the issue of their ownership is forever closed. This was stated by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in a video message dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the 'Crimean Spring.'

"The question of the ownership of Crimea and Sevastopol is settled; the peninsula is an inseparable part of the Russian Federation," the minister said.

According to him, Crimea has a clear perspective for further development, and Russia has resolved many issues inherited from Ukraine, Lavrov emphasized.

"In recent years, we have been able to overcome a large number of problems inherited from Ukraine. With a clear prospect for further development, the people of Crimea can look to the future with confidence and optimism," Lavrov stated.

He noted that "ten years ago, on March 16, 2014, the residents of Crimea independently and consciously decided their future by reuniting with Russia."
