Video: Methamphetamine and Marijuana Discovered in Ejmiadzin Cannabis Laboratory

Criminal investigators from Vagharchapat received operational information on February 19 that two brothers living in the Aragats district of Ejmiadzin, selling methamphetamine and marijuana through the Telegram app at various locations in Ararat region and Yerevan.

There was also information that the elder brother was producing marijuana from cannabis grown at his uncle's son’s house and auxiliary structures.

A process was initiated to verify and ascertain the information, aimed at exposing the suspects in criminal activity. A criminal case was launched, and based on a court decision, a search was conducted in the brothers' apartment on March 14.

A total of 18 packages of a greenish substance, weighing over 747 grams, were discovered. The 42-year-old brother claimed that the discovered items belonged to him, and that he had packaged them for sale via Telegram. He was arrested and taken to the Vagharchapat police department.

On the same day, a search was also carried out at the home and auxiliary structures of his uncle's son on Manushyan Street, where the elder brother was also residing. A cannabis cultivation lab was found in the yard, containing 23 cannabis plants. A substance resembling marijuana was discovered with the 44-year-old brother.

Additionally, a combat pistol of the Makarov type was found in the storage room. The elder brother stated that he had grown the cannabis himself for sale via Telegram and that the pistol belonged to him, which he had brought back after the 44-day war.

The elder brother and the uncle's son were also arrested. The documents have been sent to the Vagharchapat investigation department. The investigation is ongoing to clarify the circumstances.
