Yerevan: The European Capital of Football. Barcelona and Sporting to Visit Armenia

At the beginning of May, Yerevan will become the European capital of football. This was announced by the Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Arayik Harutyunyan, on his Facebook page.

"And so, just a moment ago, the draw for the UEFA Futsal Champions League semifinals took place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. On May 3, the Spanish team Barcelona and the Portuguese team Sporting will compete in Yerevan, while Benfica from Portugal will face Mallorca from Spain in the other match. The finals and the third-place match will take place on May 5. May will see Yerevan take center stage as the European capital of football. Come witness this historic event with your children," he wrote.
