We Love Armenia and the Armenian People, We Don’t Want to Bring New Sufferings: PM

The security situation around Armenia remains tense. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement during a press conference.

“It is very important how we relate to that situation. We must treat it as an issue for which the responsibility of management is ours, primarily the responsibility of the Government of Armenia,” he said.

According to Pashinyan, the emphasis in ensuring Armenia’s security should be placed on legitimacy. “We are talking about the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and we should not have any claims beyond that border, as any claims beyond that border will be used as a vulnerable point and will be exploited to undermine our positions of legitimacy,” noted the Prime Minister.

He emphasized that they love Armenia and the Armenian people, and that is why they are seeking solutions. “We do not want to bring new sufferings to the people,” he concluded.
